US Intelligence budget – overall level no longer “secret”

Thanks to Herbert for bringing this to my attention – relevant to the interesting discussion we had with the CIA representative at TSU.  In recent years slightly more information has been available relative to the overall spending level of the Federal government to military and nonmilitary intelligence work, but the full level of both had not previously been formally revealed.  There is some fascinating information here even though the level of spending only is revealed in aggregate – such as the bit about the budget tripling in 12 years – indeed as we were told, this function has been the recipient of abundant resources recently.
